My face routine used to be constantly changing. I went through a phase where I only used Neutrogena products, then I only used Aveeno products, and finally I only used Caryl Baker products. Sometimes I used a Neutrogena makeup removing product paired with an Aveeno face wash and a Caryl Baker moisturizer. Then I discovered LUSH. LUSH cosmetics has changed my world. No, seriously. It's gentle yet effective and I love how "friendly" all of the ingredients are. This is my current routine for washing my face and keeping it clean during the summer. My face routine changes in the fall/winter as my skin gets drier so I will be sure to post an updated routine when the season changes!
Current products for the summer: Ocean Salt face & body scrub, Ultrabland facial cleanser, Mask of Magnaminty face & body mask, Grease Lightning tea tree cleanser.

Ultrabland facial cleanser is a gift sent from heaven. Seriously. This product removes makeup. It cleans your face. It moisturizes. It smells good. It isn't greasy. It washes off easily. It leaves your skin feeling cleansed and moisturized by only using one product! All you need is this cleanser and a warm face towel to wash it off, or follow up using LUSH's Ocean Salt face & body scrub. This is a top contender for the number 1 spot on my "favourite LUSH product ever" list. Seriously. So good.
LUSH claims that Ultrabland removes makeup, even mascara and eyeliner. I find that it removes my face makeup just fine. Typically I wear tinted moisturizer and bronzer and it removes that with ease. On the days that I put on a full face (foundation, concealer, bronzer and blush) I find that it removes that as well with no problem. I do however find that the claim that this product will remove your eye makeup to be deceiving. I don't find that it removes my eye makeup. I typically only wear a little bit of mascara. I wear non-waterproof in the darkest black shade and it doesn't take it off. I have to use an extra amount of it on my eyes to remove the mascara... and sometimes follow up with an eye makeup remover.
Ocean Salt face & body scrub is the perfect follow up to the Ultrabland facial cleanser. It is gritty enough to remove the thickness and oilyness of the cleanser and leaves your skin feeling nourished. The smell of this product is amazing. It is a definite staple in my face routine and I continuously (way too often!) repurchase it. Love it.
Ocean Salt is a product that I use daily. I've heard mixed reviews on whether or not you should use this product daily or not. My LUSH consultant (aka the girl with dreadlocks and sick tattoos that works 24/7) told me that she's used this product daily for like the past 2 years and she recommended that I use it daily, too. So, of course, I do.
Mask of Magnaminty face & body mask is a serious life saver. Have a breakout? This works. Have dry skin? This works. Having a day where your skin is super red? This works. Seriously. Check this stuff out.
This product is SERIOUSLY the bomb.com. I am obsessed. I use it daily or every 2-3 days, depending on how my skin is currently feeling... you know, like if I'm having my monthly breakout, I tend to use it daily. But on the regular I would say I treat myself to it every 2-3 days. The smell is so refreshingly minty and it is a super easy face mask to remove! Even if you leave it on for longer than like, 7-10 minutes, it is simple to remove. Rubbing water on my face with just my hands, or a wet face towel, for those times I get distracted by Pinterest/Facebook/Twitter/Instagram and other random things, removes this product so easily!

For those times when I have pesky breakouts (aka all the frickin' time lately), LUSH's Grease Lightning is my go-to. I've read multiple reviews about this product... "Grease Lightning is GOD", "Great Lightning is a product sent from LUSH heaven", "I love this product!" and "this product does exactly what you want an acne fighting cleanser to do" are just some of the reviews I've read and seriously people, this product is GOOD. I love it. I just apply a dab on my breakouts and go to bed. I find that, like most acne spot treatment/cleansers/whatever, it dries with a sort of "flaky, dry skin" look, so I only use this product at night cause that ain't cute.
So, there you have it. My "super-easy-I'm-so-lazy-it's-the-summer-and-I'm-always-out-too-late-to-be-perfect" face routine. Hugest shout out to LUSH because their products never let me down! And let's be honest: products with an expiration date are SO important. Feed your outsides and treat your outsides the same way you take care of your insides.
