This was one of the best trips I've ever been on. Boston is the most beautiful city. I love that it has the big city feel and it's so busy, but it's also laid back and reminds me of home because of the harbour and the parks. I wouldn't hate it if I got to go back to Boston every single year! Here's an overload of selfies that basically sum up our trip. :)
We also saw Amir Johnson hanging out along the waterfront and we almost got run over by Fetty Wap and his friends(?), crew(?), boys(?) while we were waiting for the light to change so we could cross the street... they were on bicycles... it was actually hilarious. So shout out to seeing random celebs on the street cause that doesn't happen often (or ever) in Canada.
This guy noticed us struggling to take a selfie, so he offered to take our picture. It pays off to look like tourists sometimes. :)
Coolest thing ever is when you see a random NBA player chillin', watching the same buskers act that you are... and it just so happens to be your dad's very favourite player who got traded from one of his favourite teams (shout out to Toronto & Canada!) to his very favourite team (Boston!!). And then you get a picture with him.
Faces of pure exhaustion after climbing 294 steps on Bunker Hill.
So I was supposed to be born on May 9 in 1993, but I came 11 looooong days after on May 20. Anyways, my mom's very favourite show was Cheers and she was so relieved that I was going to be born before the series finale aired so that she could watch it while I was (hopefully) sleeping or hanging out with my dad. It just so happened that I decided to be stubborn and come at the exact time on the night that the Cheers series finale was airing... my mom claims that to this day she hasn't watched the episode because she wanted to watch it live. Here you go, Mom. I visited the Cheers set and took a picture for you. :)
The BEST food near Fenway Park.
Our view from our hotel room... HELLO FENWAY, you beautiful green thing you.
So excited to be here!!!!!
I was this excited walking to Fenway Park, which was like a maximum 2 minute walk from our hotel. No big deal.
Big Papi's homeruns are even more cool in person. :)
Little pano-action... this Yankee fan ended up being in like all of my shots of the park, whatever... it's chill, we beat them anyways. :)
Ya baby! What a trip!
And the next day we packed up and headed for home. We were supposed to stop in a hotel for the night to split the drive in to 2 days... 6 hours the first day and just over 5 the second. Then when we were just over 2 hours from our hotel, we finally got connected to wifi, just to find out that our hotel was overbooked (thanks, Expedia!). We ended up driving the whole 11+ hours home, plus stopping for gas & food, plus an hour time difference... this wouldn't have been too bad of a drive if we had left at an earlier time than noon, haha. We arrived home at 1:30 and I slept for what felt like forever. When I woke up the next day, it was so cold at home. I checked Boston's weather and this is what I saw... not cool.
I cannot wait to head back to Boston and hopefully see another Red Sox game (WIN!) and hopefully a Celtics game! Boston just feels like a bigger version of Halifax and I love it. :)
