We drove through Milton and we came across this river. It was so calm and beautiful and at the end of it was this insane drop into the craziest current I had ever saw. It was so crazy how the water completely changed. Watching ducks frantically swim up the little drop was devastating - I kept getting so scared that they'd get sucked in to the current!!

The sound difference was unreal too. Standing near the current it was loud and hard to hear someone talking to you. When you took a few steps closer to the calm river water, it was almost eerie how quiet it got!!
I am having way too much fun exploring my hometown/province. It is crazy how many beautiful places are literally a couple hour drive away (or pretty much in my backyard!). Nova Scotia is such a beautiful place. I love the South Shore.
